About the Statistical Analyst Program: Statistical Analysts are professionals whose roles are to design, collect, analyze and disseminate statistical products. The program was opened in 2020 following the educational reform of the African Statistical Schools Network (RESA) programs. The duration of this program is 3 years, which includes theoretical courses, applications and 3 months of field training (internship).
Rational of the training: The training aims to provide administrators with middle level managers who master the statistical production process: research design, data analysis and the dissemination of statistical products. The creation of a new program for middle level managers in statistics at the undergraduate level called Statistical Analyst (SA) responds to the need to provide students with new statistical skills such as the Mastery of Monitoring and Evaluation tools, Information System Design and Implementation, Statistical Analysis, Data Science, Survey Design, Management of Organizations and Operations, Statistical communication and Database management.
Job opportunities: Statistical Analysts generally work in public and private institutions. They usually serve as Monitoring and Evaluation Officers, Data Scientists or Database Managers.
Who can apply ? The program is open to students with WAEC certificate, with good marks in Mathematics, Economics or Physics, undergraduate students in the sciences as well as any potential candidate with statistical or economic background who is willing to take the test.
LISGIS and ENSEA will award scholarship to four (4) students for a period of three (3) years. The scholarship will cover monthly stipend, housing allowance, medical allowance, and other study materials.
