The 2022 National Population and Housing Census (NPHC) provides comprehensive demographic, social, housing and economic information for Liberia. The census serves as the official source for planning, policymaking, resource allocation, investment and monitoring national development. Note: Liberia now has a reasonable experience in conducting censuses. The first census was conducted in 1962, followed by the 1974 Population and Housing Census. Liberia, in its 176 years history of existence has conducted a total of five (5) National Population and Housing Censuses in 1962, 1974, 1984 ,2008 and 2022.
